It's been a while since my last post.

I finally met Amy. Seems like a really nice girl. She has a great house in a really cool neighborhood. Maybe a block from the water, nice trees. Really great place. We decided on a date that I'd move, everything was starting to work out. When I went back to work three days later, I put in my notice. I Also notified my landlord that I'd would be leaving in two weeks. Two days later, Amy calls and tells me that she's getting another job in TAMPA and the room won't be available anymore. Nine days before I'm leaving, she's telling me, essentially, I'm homeless. I basically had one day to find an apartment because nowhere is open on Sunday and I have to work like hell this last week. I am supposed to start the new job next Tuesday so I need to be down there this weekend. I did manage to find a place and I overnight-ed my application and deposit tonight. With any luck, I'll get in. I was pretty pissed with Amy but it looks like it's going to work out better after all. I'd rather not live with someone anyway :)

I added a lot of features to the blog. Users can now choose their own skin. The default works best (and looks the best I think) but the other two should work okay. There's tons of other stuff but I really can't remember. Probably nothing that visitors would notice.

The Jeep is overheating again. Probably because I'm using water instead of coolant and I am missing some vital parts. As long as I don't have to sit still for more than 10 minutes, things are usually okay. I'm debating on whether to tow it behind the U-Haul or have a friend drive it to Daytona. That thing really is a death trap and, at the moment, I don't have any friends I want to get rid of.

I can't seem to get Pandora to work in Safari. Kinda sucks. I don't like Firefox on the Mac. Input fields are so ugly. It just screams Windows 95 or Linux. The rest of the OS is so smooth and FF really destroys the slick image. I never use my Windows computer at home anymore. It's just a server for my website, webcam, WiRNS, and occasionally I have to use it for things from work. Mostly it just sits there and makes me look like a huge dweeb with two monitors on my desk. Even more nerdy is that I can move my mouse from mac to windows and that really amazes everyone. Synergy is the shit :)

I really feel kinda stupid writing in this thing. I swore I wouldn't post about stupid personal stuff but it seems like that's all I post about. Probably because that is all I post about. I just never have the time to post when I'm thinking about cool stuff or read a good article - usually because I'm at work. I never do any cool modding to post about and even if I did, I don't have a digital cam to document it - gave it to Sam. She wanted to take pictures of the dogs. No surprise there. I really need to give this thing more of a focus or it's just going to turn into another waste of space on a hard drive somewhere. I have to stop posting about my personal life and more about the things I'm interested in. I need projects.

Brian got a Slingbox and it is sweet! We watched live TV from his ReplayTV at his house on a laptop at work today. Soooo cool! I want one. I'm sure I'll 'Deserve' one soon :) Not really sure when I'd ever use it though.

ReplayTV is officially out of hardware. The only place I"ve been able to find them is on eBay and a few other websites. I think Amazon (ugh) only had one the last time I checked. That really sucks because I love my Replay and now getting another one is probably going to be a huge pain in a year or so. God forbid I switch to TiVo. No thank you, TiVo. You can keep your DRM. I prefer to keep my shows as long as I see fit. Yeah, the Replay interface is a bit janky, but it works. It's got Ethernet built it and they stopped making them a while ago. To get Ethernet on a TiVo, you have a to buy an extra USB piece. How retarded. Also, I haven't heard of anything like Poopli for TiVo. I love my Poopli.
